As part of an overall identity campaign to promote the distinctive characteristics of Lawrenceville, the LC facilitated the development of a logo that embraces the unique characteristics of the neighborhood. The new logo features a stylized version of the Doughboy statue, a war memorial that sits at one of the key gateways to Lawrenceville at Doughboy Square at the intersection of Butler Street and Penn Avenue.

The Doughboy image represents both the historical significance as well as the authenticity of Lawrenceville—the Doughboy is unique to Lawrenceville, just like the Sears Tower is unique to Chicago. The vine represents the neighborhood's artistic vibe; the bold colors reflect the community's modern sensibility; and the slogan History in the Remaking defines the neighborhood as it is today.

The Mainstreets Committee drove the creation of the logo. Lawrenceville resident (Paul Schifino/Wolfe Designs) created the final logo.

The logo won a statewide award from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center in 2007.
