Board Member Profile
F. Brooks Robinson, Jr. is Vice President/Director of Marketing for the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern PA (RIDC). At RIDC since 1991, Brooks is responsible for marketing all of RIDC properties, buildings, and services. His career focus has been on community revitalization through real estate development with an emphasis on former industrial site (“brownfield”) redevelopment. Brooks serves on the boards of many community-oriented organizations and committees focusing on the regional economic development including: the National Down Syndrome Congress, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, Easter Seals of Western Pennsylvania, The Children’s Institute, and the Penn-Liberty Historic Review Commission.
Prior to his work at RIDC, Brooks was employed with various television production companies, most notably the Cable News Network (CNN) in Atlanta, and the Professional Golf Association (PGA) in New York. Brooks lives in Pittsburgh and graduated from Tulane University, with post-graduate work in real estate development at Harvard University.
