Kate Trimble is the Executive Director of the Lawrenceville Corporation. Kate manages LC staff and volunteers, oversees the organizational budget and fundraising activities, and works to collaboratively develop neighborhood revitalization strategies.
Kate is very committed to the Lawrenceville community. While her recent work has focused on neighborhood development, she comes to the LC with varied work experiences. Prior to joining the staff of the Lawrenceville Corporation in May 2004, Kate worked for the Coro Center for Civic Leadership and the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development (PPND). At Coro, Kate was the Director of the New Generations Program at the Coro Center for Civic Leadership. The New Generations Program supported regional talent attraction and retention efforts with applied and policy-relevant research. At PPND, Kate was the program officer for research and policy, focusing on inner-city business development.
Before moving to Pittsburgh in 2001, Kate spent four years at the Brookings Institution’s Center on Urban and Metropolitan Policy as a Senior Research Analyst, and also worked as a policy researcher at the Urban Institute and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Kate graduated from Bard College in New York with an A.B. in philosophy, and then received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She lives in Lawrenceville with her husband, Billy.
