As Business District Manager, Jennifer manages activities with Lawrenceville's three business districts and the 16:62 Design Zone.
Her responsibilities include marketing and communications, public relations, events management, and community relations. She works directly with business owners to help promote their business and assists them with publicity, advertising, and other promotions. Jennifer also manages the Mainstreets program for the LC, whose goal is to improve commercial business districts. Current Mainstreets initiatives include the development of an identity campaign for Lawrenceville and neighborhood beautification.
Prior to joining the LC, Jennifer gained marketing and communications experience at several Pittsburgh-based organizations in the non-profit, residential construction, and retail advertising industries.
Jennifer is committed to promoting and supporting Pittsburgh’s best feature: its neighborhoods. “Out of all Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods, I think Lawrenceville has the most personality. Its people, architecture, unique shops, and art galleries give it a vibrant, creative character. I’m delighted to play a role in helping it grow,” says Jennifer.
Jennifer grew up in the southwestern suburbs of Pittsburgh and graduated from Point Park University with a B.A. in English and later earned her M.A. in Professional Writing at Carnegie Mellon University. She lives on Pittsburgh’s North Side with her husband, Dave.
